🚮 Sanitation & Hygiene Awareness
Clean Communities, Healthy Lives
Sabri Human Welfare Trust®
Cleanliness is not just a habit—it is a foundation of good health, dignity, and social well-being. At Sabri Human Welfare Trust®, we believe that promoting sanitation and hygiene is one of the most impactful ways to uplift underserved communities.
Our Sanitation Programme is focused on spreading awareness, improving hygiene practices, and enabling clean environments—especially in rural areas, religious sites, and densely populated settlements.
🎯 Objectives of the Programme
- Promote awareness on personal hygiene, waste management, and sanitation
- Support the construction and use of toilets in slums and villages
- Keep public and religious places clean, especially during large gatherings
- Encourage community responsibility through volunteer-led cleanliness drives
- Reduce risk of disease through education and action
🧼 Key Areas of Action
🧍♂️ 1. Awareness Campaigns
We organize regular campaigns to educate communities about:
- Importance of handwashing and safe water
- Proper disposal of waste and use of dustbins
- Dangers of open defecation and littering
- Menstrual hygiene awareness for women and adolescent girls
We use posters, workshops, street plays, and school activities to spread the message in an engaging way.
🚽 2. Toilet Access & Construction Support
In alignment with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, we help rural families and slum dwellers:
- Apply for toilet construction grants
- Understand the importance of private and public sanitation
- Maintain hygienic washroom conditions
We also guide them through government schemes related to sanitation infrastructure.
🧹 3. Cleanliness Drives & Community Action
Our volunteers and teams regularly conduct:
- Street cleaning and garbage collection drives
- Clean-up efforts around Piran Kaliyar Sharif during major events
- Public toilet maintenance and repair in crowded pilgrimage zones
We believe community participation is the key to long-term cleanliness.
♻️ 4. Waste Management Awareness
Through community meetings and door-to-door campaigns, we teach:
- How to segregate dry and wet waste
- Composting techniques in small spaces
- Reducing plastic usage and safe disposal of biomedical waste
We encourage local youth and women to become cleanliness champions in their neighborhoods.

Our sanitation efforts are currently active in:
