💼 Promote Self-Employment (Various Training through SHGs)

At Sabri Human Welfare Trust®, we believe that self-employment is not just a source of income—it is a path to dignity, self-reliance, and long-term stability. One of the most powerful ways to promote self-employment, especially in rural and semi-urban areas, is through Self Help Groups (SHGs).

🤝 What Are SHGs?

Self Help Groups (SHGs) are small groups of women or community members (usually 10–20 people) who come together to save money, support each other, and start small income-generating activities. SHGs are an important part of rural development in India and are supported by various government schemes, banks, and NGOs.

Through regular meetings, shared savings, and training sessions, SHGs become a platform for learning, entrepreneurship, and community strength—especially for women from low-income backgrounds.

🎯 Our Mission: Training for Self-Employment

Sabri Human Welfare Trust® organizes and supports practical training programs through SHGs to help people start their own work. These training sessions are designed to match local skills, market needs, and available resources.

Some of the key areas we focus on include:

🧵 Vocational & Skill Training

  • Stitching and tailoring
  • Embroidery and traditional handwork
  • Beautician and salon training
  • Agarbatti and candle making
  • Paper bag and eco-friendly product making
  • Soap and detergent production

🥬 Livelihood-Based Activities

  • Organic farming and kitchen gardening
  • Mushroom cultivation
  • Dairy and poultry management
  • Spice packaging and food processing
  • Pickle and papad making

🧠 Soft Skills & Entrepreneurial Support

  • Financial literacy (how to manage and save money)
  • How to apply for small business loans or government schemes
  • Product packaging, branding, and selling
  • Using smartphones and digital tools for marketing
  • Group management and leadership skills

💡 How SHGs Help in Real Life

Many women who once depended entirely on others for their daily needs are now earning and supporting their families. Some start from home-based activities and grow into small businesses. Others form collectives that supply goods to local markets, festivals, and even online platforms.

We believe that when one woman becomes self-reliant, an entire family is uplifted—and when many do, the whole community moves forward.

🧵 Real Impact, Local Change

Through SHG-led training and small income programs, Sabri Human Welfare Trust® has:

  • Helped women open bank accounts and start saving
  • Connected SHGs with local markets and vendors
  • Enabled dozens of families to start small businesses
  • Trained over 100 women in stitching, beauty care, and food processing in the past year
